What’s your morning ritual to set you up for a productive day?
I start my day by checking my emails and going through the dashboard of Google Analytics and SEMRush tools to get a sneak peak of the different Campaigns we have and to check if there are significant increase/decrease in rankings or in traffic. I usually take down notes of important details that I think is helpful to the campaign. Then I go through the project management software to work on specific tasks for the clients.

Your favourite thing about your job is…
My favourite thing about my job is the challenge itself, the challenge of making a website rank in Google. Competing with different kinds of websites on the internet is definitely challenging. Especially if you are competing with bigger brands. The results you bring for the client is also special. You worked hard to reach a certain goal for the client and to see happy with the results you bring is definitely rewarding.

Where do you want to be in five years?
I can still see myself working as an SEO Expert for years to come. It is something that I love to do. I love the challenge it brings because of the technological advancements we have right now. Especially with Google rolling out different kinds of Algorithms every year or so, as an SEO you have to be able to learn those kinds of changes and implement it to your projects as much as you can. Because SEO is continuously evolving and growing, as a professional you want that kind of environment as well to keep you motivated to work on the best of your abilities.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a killer week at work?
I love to go out of town for a quick weekend getaway or going to a park or a popular tourist attraction. Going out with friends and family and loved ones is also my favourite way to unwind. Just being around with the people I love makes me feel relaxed and ready for another week at work.

How did you get to where you are now at GoSearch?
I started doing SEO in 2009 for a Melbourne based company and it was a good learning experience for me. It introduced me to different kinds markets and how to work in a fast phase environment. I attended different conferences, seminars and trainings about internet marketing in general and did many trainings and attended several seminars to increase my knowledge and skills in SEO and Search Marketing in general.

If you could have any other job what would it be?
A Computer or Marketing Instructor. I like sharing stuff from personal experience and sharing what little knowledge I have. I do have a master’s Degree in marketing communications, so I think I can be an instructor in marketing if I choose to. Making a difference to other people’s lives and to the society by teaching and sharing what you know is something worth doing.
